We are looking for someone to join our warehouse team, supporting our warehouse manager and lorry drivers, enabling the smooth delivery of horse feed to our customers across the South West.

About the Role

Receiving of incoming goods: unloading, checking delivery notes, stock rotation

· Pick and load outgoing goods for delivery, completing paperwork

· Loading customers cars with animal feed / bedding from our Cash & Carry

· Assist lorry drivers with unloading of horse feed at customer’s yards

· Keeping warehouse clean and tidy.

· Delivery of goods via Van and unloading at Customer’s site (if over 21 and Full UK Driving Licence)

Note: Role includes manual handling of animal feed (20-25Kg bags).

Role will include use of Counterbalance Forklift. Experience preferred, but training can be provided.

Hours: Monday to Friday: 8.30am – 5.30pm

About the Role
• Advice – advise customers on choosing plants for their garden, plant care, maintenance and core gardening products
• Stock management and maintenance – support the team with putting out plant deliveries, creating displays and maintaining the plants and garden area to a high standard.
• Development path – develop commercial and retail management (e.g. supporting plant manager with ordering, pricing, stock control and liaising with directors/management) with career path to becoming Plant Retail Manager / General Manager within 2-year period.

About You
We are looking for someone who is passionate about plants and gardening, who wants to build a career in retail. Be willing to work in the plant area in a hands-on capacity, within our small friendly team. You will be customer focused, and willing to work with other teams in the business.

Must have a horticultural qualification.
